The Spartan
'Activity Monitoring' Orthopaedic Wrist Brace is a rigid
orthopaedic brace designed to
immobilize the wrist.
Immobilization is the known
standard for conservative
treatment for symptoms affiliated
with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,
repetitive motion type injuries,
sprains, strains and similar
injuries of the wrist. With
proper usage, this brace can keep
wrist motion to a minimum while
worn allowing the body to recover
from the damage of repetitive
motion or other injuries.
SurgiTech’s innovative and
patented designs have incorporated
the ability to record and report
data captured by the brace
sensors. SurgiTech has coined
this feature as ‘Activity
Monitoring’. By monitoring and
recording brace shock hand motion
and wrist
motion, a physician can now review
and evaluate patient limb activity
information from the reports
generated by the computer software
included with this package.

This system of
‘Activity Monitoring’ will prove
itself as an essential tool to the
medical provider, patient, and
insurance company to review
activity levels of the immobilized
region during brace use. The
‘Activity Report’ is generated by
compiling the data, gathered by
the shock, hand motion and wrist sensors,
into the data logger. Once the
data is transferred to a personal
computer,
the medical provider can view or
print the ‘Activity Report’. This
information can be extremely useful in the
treating process.
